Why “Follow Me” Is Not Enough in Nursing EducationsteemCreated with Sketch.

Daybook January 25

Effective nursing education begins by understanding where learners are and walking with them toward their goals, not pulling them from behind.

Learners do not fail because they are unwilling.
They struggle when teaching assumes a starting point they never had.

Saying “follow me” ignores differences in experience, confidence, and readiness.
Walking alongside learners builds trust, clarity, and growth.

Good education is not about speed.
It is about direction—and companionship.

One Line for Nurses & Student Nurses Today:
Walk with learners, not ahead of them.
