Die Umstellung von Proof-of-Work auf Proof of Stake scheint nun bei Ethereum geglückt zu sein. Ob es nun bei anderen Token auf der Ethereum-Chain zu Komplikationen kommt bleibt abzuwarten.

Jetzt wo Ethereum Umweltfreundlicher, Deflationärer und Stakingrewards von 9-12 % in Aussicht gestellt werden, kann Ethereum ernsthaft Bitcoin von Platz eins verdrängen.

Eine Investition in Ethereum ist sicherlich für Banken und Institionelle Investoren aus Sicht des Umweltschutz und der Zinsen interessant.

Bis zum nächsten Kryptohype in 3 Jahren könnte dieses Flippening stattfinden.?

Ps. Der Ethereum Hardfork “ETHPoW” scheint jetzt schon gescheitert zu sein.

Der Coin der Ethereum Hardfork, die weiterhin auf Proof of Work statt Proof of Stake setzt, ist laut CoinMarketCap in rund zwei Wochen von seinem Allzeithoch bei 58 US-Dollar auf nunmehr 5 US-Dollar gestürzt. Selbst der Initiator der Hardfork, Chandler Gou, hält einen Bankrott für 90 Prozent der Miner für wahrscheinlich.

Die Hashrate ETHPoWs ist aber seit Start der Chain auf 30 Terra-Hashes die Sekunde (TH/s) eingebrochen. Ein Anzeichen dafür, dass ein Großteil der Miner zu anderen Alternativen gewechselt ist. Zum Vergleich: Die Proof-of-Work Blockchain Ethereum Classic kann 189 TH/s für sich verzeichnen.

The switch from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake seems to have succeeded with Ethereum. It remains to be seen whether there will be complications with other tokens on the Ethereum chain.

Now that Ethereum is more environmentally friendly, more deflationary and promises staking rewards of 9-12%, Ethereum can seriously knock Bitcoin out of first place.

Investing in Ethereum is certainly interesting for banks and institutional investors from an environmental and interest rate perspective.

The coin of the Ethereum hardfork, which continues to rely on Proof of Work instead of Proof of Stake, has plunged from its all-time high of US$58 to now US$5 in about two weeks, according to CoinMarketCap. Even the initiator of the hardfork, Chandler Gou, considers bankruptcy likely for 90 percent of miners.

However, the hashrate of ETHPoW has collapsed to 30 terra hashes per second (TH/s) since the start of the chain. This is an indication that a large proportion of miners have switched to other alternatives. By comparison, the Ethereum Classic proof-of-work blockchain can claim 189 TH/s.
