Planting trees is really important for us human. Why? Think of it's direct benefits such as it gives you shade, when it bear fruits it provides you food, when you sell the fruit it gives you money, when you gave away fruit it makes you friend, provide you woods, prevent your place from erosion, and more important gives you free oxygen. Also, trees are your workers who clean your carbon footprint in the air.
One tree is enough for a household. However, if your living in the middle of the metrocity, planting edibles on your rooftop means a lot.
I like to call trees air filters haha. That's basically what they are plus all the benefits you mentioned which is simply brilliant. I also have started to read more into how planting gardens and greenery into a building project in major cities is also being explored.
@humanearl, planning most important for reduce global warming condition. I looked some of big trees cut down in rain forests by few non nature lovers. If they cut one tree, if we have ability to grow ten small plants that's would be great idea. Trees creating most important oxygen air for our body to living. Also more benefits giving to us.
Yes and it seems they are still cutting down large acres of forests and trees. This is slowly allowing more pollutants to build up in the air over time.
Well if plants are being planted in cities there will probably be some maintnence of them but if forests are being replanted in rural areas then allow nature to do it's own thing.
@humanearl, In my opinion in the name of Development people are destroying the forests and cutting away the trees. And motor vehicles are increasing rapidly and in my opinion now we have more vehicles than human beings.
Definitely Plantation will help because plants will going to consume Carbondioxoide and it will help in deep extent.
But let's see what future unfolds and if people will understand the power of nature and let's hope that people will come out of the Materialistic race. Stay blessed.

What's even crazier is that you have many people that don't even think global warming is a problem.
So yea man let's see what happens. Nature is a gift and it seems some are determined to destroy that gift.
