This is my friend Ornela - one of the most beautiful people I know. She's also an incredibly talented artist and dancer. For me, her secrete weapon is her smile. She's got one of those smiles that can change the weather.

In a previous DTube video I mentioned that I am switching it up a bit with my photography and taking more photos of people - starting with my friends. I hadn't seen Ornela in about three years prior to the photoshoot a few days ago.

As expected, we spent the first couple of hours in a café catching up. A lot has happened since we last saw each other. We also noted that it was the first time we'd ever seen each other in day time! That might be strange to a lot of people, but that's actually quite normal for us in the dance scene. I know a lot of people that I haven't ever seen in daytime. #VampireLife

We started off with some cliché shots, heads and shoulders, poses e.t.c., just to warm up. Like anything, it takes a while to get into the rhythm of things. For this particular reason, I always take a digital camera with me to shoot these early shots when neither the photographer nor the model is at his/her best.

It didn't take long, though, before Ornela's inner child spirit emerged. She's quite the playful woman - in a good way. Sometimes we all need to channel our inner child.

Some of my favourite shots from the shoot were when she was being playful or totally spontaneous. Another thing I admire about Ornela is the fact that she doesn't really seem to care what other people think of her. She does what she wants and lives life on her own terms.
