MONARCH & HYDRANGEA for WEDNESDAY WALK ๐ธ๐ฆ๐ธ
Hello my Dearest Friends,
My series of Monarch continues and this time I finally captured him with open wings. In fact, I took lots of photos, because it was two of them enjoying these beautiful Hydrangea flowers. However, they were all very similar so I picked only the best two. Also, I was hopping capturing both butterflies on one flower, but I guess that is another challenge before the end of the summer. I have done it last year, so let's hope I can do it this year again.
If you missed my previous MONARCH post, please have a look HERE
This is my entry for #wednesdaywalk initiated by my Dear Friend and great photographer @tattoodjay.

Your Monarchs are beautiful, as are your hydrangeas! For some reason, I have seen an extraordinary amount of them this week, more in one day than I have seen all summer.
You captured an enviable shot, wings down and such a pretty little one! By this time of year, many are missing a piece of their wing!
Loveliness, my dear Lena! Happ Wednesday!
As always, I wish you a great night!

Hello my Dear Denise, so lovely to see you! Monarchs seems to be very active in August and September and I know they love Cone flowers, Milkweed and Butterfly bush, but I never saw them on Hydrangeas.
Thank you so much for visiting and for your support. I truly appreciate it ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ

I saw my first Monarch of the season yesterday! Didn't get great photos, but it was exciting to finally see one!
I am happy to hear that............I am sure you get some great shot soon too ๐ฆ
Beautiful monarch and flower shots. Such a great contrast against the white flowers! I love Monarchs and always rear some from eggs collected in the spring from my butterfly weed. After sending a bunch out to find mates in the early spring and summer, I usually let nature take its course after that.
I had no idea that can be done! Wow! Thank you so much for visiting my Dear, I am happy you like them ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
Oh, it is so interesting to watch the microscopic eggs become teeny caterpillars which grow at an alarming rate while feeding on the milkweed - and then to watch them shed their skins a final time revealing beautiful lime green chrysalides with gold spots before emerging a couple of weeks later as beautiful Monarchs! A butterfly doesn't make a chrysalis - it's inside beneath the caterpillar skin. It is intriguing to watch the whole process! I have learned so much!
Oh my goodness, that sounds so fascinating! I just found videos on YouTube about that. I am going to look for those eggs when I am on my walk next time. Thank you so much for shraing my Dear ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
Better still. Plant doe milkweed and they will find you!!
