Tamara & Cyan
This is my friend Tamara and her baby boy Cyan. She is one of the most positive, happiest people the world has ever seen and he is amongst the world's cutest babies. Seriously.
In this post, I mentioned how one of my cameras stopped working just before the shoot. Thankfully I had a backup camera, albeit without the use of the portrait lens I brought along. It meant I had to improvise a little bit, and move closer to my subject for most of the shots.
It was originally supposed to be mainly a photo shoot of Tamara, with one or two of her baby thrown in for context. When I met the little man for the first time, however, he stole the show straight away. I mean, look at him! I couldn't believe how calm and well behaved he was for such a young child (4 months only).
Little Cyan also has one of the most expressive faces I've ever seen in a baby. He has the cutest eyebrow movement ever :)
Needless to say, we spent half the time catching up a bit (it'd been 3 years or so). We took a few pit stops to feed Cyan - who is an enthusiastic eater - and attempted to get him to fall asleep in his stroller. Like any loving infant, however, he preferred falling asleep on his mother's chest.
