Indeed, it is hard to imagine. The video of the children being wrestled out of her arms is horror-movie stuff. And, from what she says, the kids are taking it very hard. The girl has withdrawn to a fantasy world where she gets to go back home, while the boy is depressed and is losing weight.
As for exposing such abuse, there are local NGOs doing that, but it's very hard. From what I've read, the people and the companies involved in this business are very powerful, so they have control over the mainstream media. For instance, an interview this woman gave to a Finnish TV station was immediately removed from their site.
