Learning to fly if English is second language
Hi guys, I am moving to Florida from South America to learn how to fly. My English is okay but I am nervous about the technical aviation terms and radio communication. Are there any schools that are friendly to international students or have instructors who speak Spanish? I want to make sure I understand everything 100% before I go solo.
You will be fine in South Florida, it is very multicultural. You should visit Pelican Flight Training at North Perry Airport. They are known as a bilingual school and have many Spanish-speaking instructors and pilots. It is a welcoming helicopter school that makes sure you are comfortable. Learning in an English environment but having that backup support is super helpful for mastering the radio work and regulations.
