Today on our dinner table: poulet aux morilles 🍟
Poulet aux Morilles
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 pound fresh morel mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown, about 8 minutes per side.
Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Add the shallot, garlic, chicken broth, wine, thyme, and pepper to the skillet. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.
Return the chicken to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Sprinkle the parsley over the top and serve.
