It is the start of the hot and dry season here in my neck of the woods and me and my parents are so ready for it now
This is that time of the year where it gets hot and humid and because of that it gets so warm to the touch the things inside the house like the door knob, concrete walls plus the water coming from the tap which is the actual time that you want chilled water to come from it but you get hot water while everything is hot outside the bathroom particularly from our former house because it had no insulation under the rusty old steel corrugated roof we had back then. So after showring you will get drizzling hot again and you will perspire like a cold glass of water on a table. I am glad that it is all over now for me and my parents although we are still not fully enjoying our free energy coming from the Sun but soon.
Yesterday I saw that the sky is clear, not much clouds but it doesn't matter if it is cloudy but hot, for the reason that our solar panels on our rooftop is harvesting a good amount of energy even if the Sun is partially covered by the clouds. So what more if the Sun is shining brightly without much cloud cover, it just means that we almost have an unlimited amount of power to be consumed during the day.
Both the bedrooms of my parents and myself have A/C so if it will be unbearably hot in the coming days and few months, it will not be an issue anymore for me because I can cool-off myself without worrying much about paying electricity bills anymore.
For now our net metering service for our grid-tied Solar power system is still on the process because we still have to submit one more document and it will just take time for it to ge done for the reason that the document had to be sent to my Uncle which is currently vacationing abroad so he could sign it and then send it back to us and after that we have to send it to two of our Aunts and then afterwards it will be submitted to the power company so the can process our Net metering service and get it done with one and for all.
I am still not sure if the power company will accept the digitally signed "extrajudicial settlement" document but with a light research I've done, it needs to be signed using an attorney and the parties signing it must have an online conference and after that the document will be notarized to be legal. But what I read in the news is that the procedure behind approving net metering service is expedited, meaning maybe a digitally signed document is OK without video conference but maybe it just have to notarized and that document will be accepted.
But regardless, that document is the only factor on why our bi-directional net meter had a delay for its installation but I am fairly sure that it will get installed at least next month. It is just good that I have something to look forward to in order for us to enjoy the full benefits of our grid-tied solar power so that I can enjoy using the electricity day and night afterwards. Well of course I will not waste for power but rather use it for my needs together with my parents while saving money because form that point onward, we will no longer have to pay for electricity bills because power here in my country is actually the most expensive in our region so I thank God a million times for this truly useful gift that will spare my parents from the burden of paying electricity bills and save the money and use to for other things like for food and medicine.
Anyway, I am still OK not using A/C at night because what is important for me is not to suffer from the daytime heat because it is the period where it gets really hot during the hot and dry season. However the humidity is a big factor during this season so we just needed some relief at night when it happens and again that will only be possible if we finally get power credits counted by the supposed aforementioned bi-directional meter so that we can use every volt of electricity produced by our Solar panels for our needs during these times of the month.
I feel particularly comfortable in this kind of weather; everything is full of life, even though it's so hot I don't want to go outside.
I also like it hot and bright all day particularly now that we have solar power system in the house, using the power generated is unlimited.
But it gets uncomfortable when the humidity gets high here in my place and that is what makes the hot and dry season here quite difficult to bear particularly for the vulnerable sectors like the elderly, small children, and the sick.
