I have acquired a taste for spicy foods too. To me it is not that hot. I tend to taste the cinnamon first and then the other spices. Garam Masala is made in different regions using different spices. I think you should be able to find a spicy hot garam masala. Like: Zafarani Garam masala Hot Spicy Powder
