Steamed noodles or noodle-like foods were not very common in Bangladesh but are now in great demand in our country. There are several foods in our country that are prepared by steaming or partially steaming. Below are some steamed noodles varieties available in our region.
Chow Mein (prepared with steamed noodles): Long ago, noodles were steamed, then cooked with vegetables, eggs or chicken. Vegetables and chicken slices are made in accordance with the noodles.
Rice Noodles- Noodles made of rice are steamed and served as soup or stir-fry. These noodles are cooked with vegetables, shrimp, fish and chicken.
Vermicelli (Semai):-In some regions, semai is softened by steaming and used in sweet or savory dishes.
Instant Noodles:- In our country, there are some instant noodles available in the market which can be prepared in two minutes by just boiling them in hot water. It is in great demand in our country.
My favorite food is Chow Mein.
Why is it my favorite
It is very delicious and a popular fast food in Bangladesh and hence it is available. It can be prepared in a short time and its great taste will satisfy you. The noodles are softened by steaming first, so it is light and easily digestible. One of the reasons for my preference is that vegetables, eggs and chicken are added to it, which also increases the nutritional value. So Chow Mein is my favorite steamed noodles dish** for its taste, easy preparation and nutritional value.
