Howdy sir Keith! well since no one knows then we can always choose to believe Hollywood's version. Historians are really split on that because no one really knows. I was thinking that perhaps if Etta came back to the States she could have had another photo taken and then if that photo is discovered then we would at least know that she made it back here.
But I don't think she would leave him.
Oh, the other thing I forgot to write about is the Pinkertons used that photo of her in wanted posters everywhere with no luck. Now, you know someone would have contacted them if they saw her, eventually.
I'm not sure how good those wanted poster pictures were. Not the highest quality in those days and I think you could almost be "in disguise" just by changing your hairstyle or hat. I do think your theory is correct though. I think if she survived there would have been some letters turn up in the historical record.
yes sir I agree, the Pinkertons had the mail system down pat as far as being able to intercept mail.
What are you doing tonight? In fact look, it's almost the weekend, what kind of wild plans are there for this weekend? Last weekend it was a game of checkers or something. lol.
I have no crazy plans for this weekend. Certainly nothing as wild as a game of chess.! not checkers, geez...

I do live a pretty boring life, it's sad but true.
I would call it a quiet life sir keith, much better than boring. Besides, you are working on things, doing your photography and learning and also building your steemit account instead of out partying or doing something that wastes time and money.
True... true... sounds very boring, doesn't it? :-)
haha! well perhaps to some people but not to me, I think it sounds wonderful and learning all the time keeps me from being bored.
