The Diary Game|| November 22, 2025|| "A Morning Walk At The Privatized Areas of Calangahan"
It was late 7 in the morning when I started to do my morning walk and I never expected that it turns into a private land. During my childhood days, we also always pass in here together with my friends, gathering lots of firewoods but now we cannot get lots of it.
A Road Trail At The Middle of Private Land:

As we arrived at the place, I started to take a walk here in this rocky road. It has been excavated and developed into an access road back year 2010 and it can still passable until today. The last time I went here, I can easily went to the coast because of the small road trail here but now it was completely constructed with a fence. Each side of the road is constructed with a fence marking that the land has its new land owners. This road leads to the main road located at the border point of Calangahan and Barangay Punta Silum. It takes only few minutes before reaching the place and aside of that it also leads to the Barangay located near at the coast.
Hundreds of Coconut Trees:

I also passes by here in this plain areas where lots of coconut trees grows. It is also occupied and brought by the new land owner and continously constructed a long fence to keep the land secured. We always went here just to gathered lots of dry coconut palms for firewoods, but now it completely secured. I noticed that all of the coconut trees are leaning towards the sea and I found out that it is because of the strong winds always happens here everytime when there is a bad weather. Aside of that, there is also a simple garden where lots of valuable crops like Cassava has been planted and a small hut made of round lumbers and sacks.
A Relaxing Place full of Big and old Trees:

The reason why I always went here its because of the wonderful and relaxing views can be seen and found here. Most of the big and old trees can be seen and found here are Balete and Talisay Trees. It gives the place a cool and relaxing views and aside of that lots of wild animals like Birds are living here.

This road here leads to the thickest forestry parts of the place. Each side of the road are thick bushes and wild plants, addens with the tall rocky cliffs. It is located at the high part of the land and it contains an overlooking views. But this areas here is not yet privatized and it is still a public land.

At the top of the cliff also contains lots of tall trees just like Molave trees. The most interesting stories behind in this areas is that this site was once a camping site by some soldiers during Second World war. According to the elders, this place was once an open field and a perfect spots to do camping because it contains a great overviews and can easily seen their target. This cliffs here are at the middle of the Main road and a shortcut road.
A Great Overviews towards the Sea:

From the cliff lies this great overviews and from the top can see those small boats and fishermen casting their nets at the sea. This was once an open field but now it is covered with lots of trees and thick bushes. It was already 8 in the morning when we are still at the place watching those great views and we keep heading slowly back at our house.

It was very lucky for us during our morning walk because there was not intense heat and it keeps feels us more relaxing because of the cold weather. It was also a very quite place and only few vehicles was passing by at the main road. Chirping of birds can also be heard and a swaying of leaves because of the strong winds also heard. It takes a few hours at the place and after that, we finally went back home so we can start eating our breakfast.
Our Simple Deliciou Breakfast:

Instead of eating rice for our Breakfast, we decided to ate this delicious sliced bread combined with this delicious Kalamay. My Cousin gave this Kalamay brought from Bohol and I was very happy and thankful for having this kind of delicious snacks. Kalamay is very popular in Bohol and very expensive, this will served as a speciall gift from me. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
