Being able to buy a house without a loan and debts sounds like a luxury to me. With my pension I can buy, perhaps, one bag of french fries per month and most likely by that time there is nothing left and the digital euro a fact.

I think what you're saying is the norm in many areas nowadays. It might be different many years ago.
