SEC-S18W5/Share your brilliance- How to Stitch Your Own Loan Suit: A Complete Tutorial.
I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. How are you all ?. I hope you all are well and doing great in your life .Today I am participating in this SEC-S18W5/Share your brilliance- (Name of the tutorial) in Steem With Shine Community. So let's start.
When I first saw this contest, I thought it was a great opportunity and that I should participate. This contest is fundamentally about showcasing one's brilliance. Through this contest, we can learn about the skills and talents of others. Every person has something they excel at, whether it's crafting, painting, drawing, sketching, etc. These talents are either naturally inherent or developed over time.
After completing my intermediate exams (12th grade), I decided to take a sewing course because my mother was very keen for one of her daughters to know how to sew and make clothes for the household. Therefore, I decided to take the course. I completed a two-month course after my exams and learned how to sew clothes thoroughly.
However, as soon as my course ended, my results were out, and I got admitted to further studies. I became very busy with college and didn’t get much time to sew clothes regularly. But occasionally, I would sew clothes for home use and for special events.
Now that I have holidays after my semester exams, I thought of stitching a dress for myself. Along with that, I thought it would be a good idea to create a complete blog about it, capturing step-by-step pictures of the process.
I gathered all the necessary items for stitching my dress, including fabric, scissors, interfacing (bukram), markers, measuring tape, pins, and other essential cutters.
I collected everything in one place and then began cutting the fabric. I wanted to make a frock in an Angrakha style, for which I had bought five yards of fabric from the market to make both the frock and the trousers.
First, I cut the upper bodice of the frock. To do this, I folded a piece of fabric double and prepared it for cutting. Since I wanted to make an Angrakha style frock, I needed two equal pieces for the upper side. Therefore, using the measuring tape, I first marked the shoulder area on the fabric and then marked the neckline in a rounded shape. I cut the fabric precisely according to these marks.
I needed to apply interfacing (bukram) to the upper bodice to create the desired style. So, I cut the bukram to match the piece of fabric I had cut and adhered it to the upper fabric.
Using a fashion tape, I designed the neckline and then joined both pieces of fabric together.
After that, I thought that I would prepare my trousers first because it wouldn't take much time. I would make them first so that with the leftover fabric, I could comfortably work on my frock. For this, I placed the fabric for the trousers and marked it exactly according to my measurements, then cut it accordingly.
Then I cut the sleeves of my frock and cut a large enough piece of fabric to surround the frock. Then I started my sewing.
After this, when I started working on sewing, the first thing I did was sew the front and back of the frock's bodice together at the shoulders. After that, I attached the frock's bodice to the skirt and added a decorative trim around the hem to make it look beautiful.
Then, I sewed the sides of the frock and began attaching the sleeves. I kept the sleeves very simple without any special design, which made them very quick to complete. After that, I sewed both sleeves to the frock's shoulders, and my frock was finished. Then, I quickly sewed my trousers, which was a very easy task and was done quickly.
So, I have now shared with you all the lawn suit that I made into a frock and trousers. I have shared each step of the process with you. In the last picture, I am wearing this dress, which I wore just a few days ago. I have also shared this final picture with you. This dress is very comfortable and it looked very good on me.
All pictures are taken by my cellphone Galaxy A01s,a few days ago.
