Assalamu Alaikum. I hope everyone is well and healthy by the grace of Allah. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Shine with steem community has organized a great engagement challenge. Today I will share our experience with my younger sister. So let's start.

The present age is the scientific age. Younger children today are more interested in learning about new inventions and inventions than ever before. My younger sister is nine and a half years old and she only studies in primary school. But his talent is sharp. To participate in this engagement challenge I will share a science experiment with him. He was very interested when he heard about it. I think they should be taught small scientific tasks that are not harmful to children.I will show how the combination of detergent and yellow powder creates a different color.

Necessary Materials

• The water
• Turmeric powder
• Detergent

First I will take two clear glass glasses. Then I will take two glasses of clean water. Then I will mix it with turmeric in the first glass. Wow it looks yellow.

In another glass with water I will mix turmeric powder in the same way and stir it with a spoon. This time both the glasses will be same color i.e. yellow color.

Now I will mix the detergent in a glass and shake well in a bowl.

Final result

Now the color of the second glass, i.e. the glass in which the detergent is mixed, has changed. Here, red color is created when alkali and turmeric powder are mixed together.

Did you achieve the final result on the first try or did you have to try several times?

I already learned this scientific work and applied it once. I got the final result in just one try. I was very surprised by the final result because I was young at the time. Anyway today my cousin came to our house she is 9 and half years old. There are various kinds of creativity in him. So I do this scientific work with him. Very surprised to see it and learned it with pleasure.

When I asked her to mix turmeric powder with water, she mixed it with great enthusiasm. Then when it was added with detergent, she was very surprised and happy to see the color change. He made me answer various questions. I was also happily answering his questions. He was very interested in this experience. The moment I did this scientific work with him was the best.
