Greetings to the entire Steemit Crypto Academy community, we hope everyone is well. We are now in week 2 of season 14 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. Once again we thank everyone who has made an effort to participate in the challenges of this community throughout all these seasons, to all of you thank you. We also encourage all those users who have not been able to participate in the community challenges to join in and be part of this season's Steemit Engagement challenge in the Steemit Crypto Academy community.

Together we can make this journey more enjoyable and full of learning, we are waiting for you to join the challenges of season 14.

Contest theme: Volatility in cryptocurrencies

One of the characteristics of the cryptocurrency market is volatility, which is understood as a measure of the speed and magnitude of changes in the price of a crypto asset in the market over a given period of time.

For experienced traders it can be a good option to make a profit in this type of market. But it can be very detrimental for a beginner trader, where he can lose all his investment, if he does not take into account this fundamental feature of cryptocurrencies.

There are different technical indicators that help a trader to determine the volatility of the market.

What is the expectation of this challenge?

In your own words, how does volatility affect cryptocurrencies? Is it beneficial or detrimental.
Name and describe a technical indicator that measures the market volatility of an asset.
Describe the step-by-step to be able to include this indicator in the STEEM/USDT chart. You can use the Tradingview platform. Show screenshots.
Explain in your own words, what happened to the volatility in the last month of the STEEM/USDT chart.
Do you think the future of cryptocurrencies is more stable? Give your own opinion.

Contest Guidelines

Post your articles in the Steemit Crypto Academy community. Participation time is between Monday, Dicember 4, 2023 at 00:00 UTC and Sunday, Dicember 10, 2023 at 23:59 UTC.
The article should be at minimum 500 words. You can write more. Your article must be free of any form of plagiarism.
Your article title must be: Steemit Crypto Academy Contest / S14W2 - Volatility in cryptocurrencies. Add the tag #cryptoacademy-s14w2 and other relevant tags.
Participants must be appropriately following #club5050 or #club75 or #club100.
Participants must be verified and active users on the platform.
The community moderators would be leaving quality assessments on your articles and probable upvotes.
In addition, your article must get at least 10 upvotes and 5 valid comments to count as valid in the contest, so ensure you interact with other users' entries. Do not be involved in vote-buying.

Rewards

SC01 would be checking on the entire 7 participating communities and upvoting outstanding content. Upvote is not guaranteed for all articles. Kindly take note.

At the end of the week, we would nominate top 3 users that had performed well in the contest and they would be eligible for votes from SC01/SC02.

Important Notice: The nomination of the top 3 users in our community is not based on good grades alone, it includes their general engagements (quality and quantity of their interactions with other users' articles) to measure the overall performance. Also note that generally, you can only make one post per day in the Steemit Engagement Challenge.

Una de las características del mercado de las criptomonedas es la volatilidad, entendiéndose como la medida de velocidad y la magnitud de los cambios de las cotizaciones de un activo cripto en el mercado, en un periodo de tiempo determinado.

Para los comerciantes experimentados puede ser una buena opción de obtener ganancias en este tipo de mercado. Pero puede ser muy perjudicial para un comerciante principiante, donde puede perder toda su inversión, sino toma en cuenta esta característica fundamental de las criptomonedas.

Existen diferentes indicadores técnicos que ayudan a un comerciante determinar la volatilidad del mercado.
