This painting makes me sad I can't help and to me it does not look as if she trust the fire. There's a kind of lethargy in her appearance, can be she's thinking about what she read or away to escape or who knows she only things this is it. I also will know what's in the mug but most likely it's only water. Indeed nothing is wasted not even water to wash herself.
