Actually when I saw this painting, it reminded me an old women who I met few years ago and she was alone there, her family was in other country, she did not see them for many years and did not have contact, therefore, was hesitated to contact them saying that she is too old. I think in such situation just to be silent and think something for yourself is worth thing. If she would try to contact and see who knows she might have been successful. I always think about that when I see lonely old people.
