For prostheses, of course, that would be an advantage, but otherwise I find it creepy when robots become more and more human.

I think they do it to avoid what is called the "disturbing valley", with respect to the prosthesis I think the same as you, it should be the same or better!
you imagine improving human skin, but there is a long way to go for that.
