Portulaca Grandiflora FreshBlooms 🌸
It's a succulent flowering plant in the purslane family of Portulacaceae. It’s native to southern Brazil, Argentina, & Uruguay which is often cultivated in gardens. Leaves are used in the treatment of scurvy & in Chinese medicine it is used to treat various tumors.
It has many common names, including rose moss, eleven o'clock, Mexican rose, moss rose, sun rose, table rose, citation needed rock rose & moss-rose purslane. Despite these names and the superficial resemblance of some cultivars' flowers to roses.
Its bright, cheerful flowers & ability to thrive in harsh conditions can be associated with positivity, resilience & simple beauty. It's often seen as a symbol of strength & persistence due to its hardy nature.
Some cultures associate it with compassion & a confession of love.
