I am Finally a Dolphin 🐬
At last, the moment I've been eagerly awaiting has arrived. Yep, you've nailed it from the title of my post—I've finally broken into dolphin territory in the world of Steemit, and I'm no longer a minnow, Alhamdulillah. This means I've now got 5000 Steem Power of my own. Okay, first, let me walk you through my power-up procedure. In this screenshot below, you can see that I currently have 21.386 STEEM and my account’s Steem power is 4,989.808 STEEM.

I never thought that a random YouTube video would turn me into a part of a platform that would later become a significant part of my life. But as we all know, life throws unexpected things at us.
However, my Steemit journey hasn't been all plain sailing; it’s had its fair share of ups and downs. There was a time when I nearly said goodbye to the platform after just spending about two or three months.
I had some idea about crypto, but understanding the Steemit ecosystem wasn’t easy. I struggled with what to write and how the voting worked—who gets votes and why and other things like that.
But when I resumed my journey, things started to look up right from the start, giving me hope that I could really make it work here. The turning point was when some of my posts received booming votes, which really boosted my morale.
However, my desperation also grew—I wanted every post to get booming votes. Back then, I was clueless about the rules, just like everyone else, I was here with the aim to earn.
I even went as far as asking for votes in the comments, which makes me laugh (and cringe a bit) when I think about it now. 😄
Long story short, I eventually met some supportive people who not only guided me on the platform but also outside of it, through WhatsApp and Discord. They taught me how the platform works, the voting system, and even markdown styling. I was quite keen on learning, so I kept at it and progressed.
Support was sporadic—sometimes there, sometimes not—but I didn’t stop. I consistently kept posting, and today, the result is in front of you—I've achieved dolphin status, though it took me about 15 months, excluding the time I was inactive.
My advice to newcomers is to stay consistent and remain connected with the platform. Focus on your content, build good relationships with others, and don’t just post in one community—try to engage across multiple communities.
Build your name. Engage with various people and, most importantly, don’t just focus on earnings because this platform is about so much more. Once you spend some time here, you’ll understand—it’s addictive. Yes, once you get the real sense of Steemit, it’ll become a habit you can't shake.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has supported and guided me on this journey.
