Mobilography

I rarely take pictures with my phone camera.
It's a strange thing to do when you almost always have a camera with a normal lens hanging on your shoulder. Yes, modern smartphones and modern technology are getting better and better. But no matter how super modern and perfect the matrix of the phone and its visual information processing program ... you can't put a lens on a phone with a big, good lens.

A brilliant photographer, of course, can take a brilliant picture on a beer can with a hole in it. But now I'm talking about the technical side of photography and comparing the camera with the phone.

And in general ... it's not the camera or the phone that makes a picture, it's the person. And it depends only on him whether the picture will be "brilliant" or worthy of the trash can. And again, everything here is subjective. After all, the viewer also participates in the "degree of genius of a photo". And if one is absolutely delighted with some minimalist (for example) photo, the other finds nothing worthy of his attention in it.

I just grumbled looking at one of my folders in the archive. This folder contains photos taken with a phone. There are times when some views or objects don't seem significant enough to pull out the camera. But one still wants to capture them as a memento.

Seeing these roots, I couldn't help but capture them. But the day was too gray and I had no inspiration to look for angles crawling in the snow. But the roots of these pines are worthy of attention. To make them at least a little more interesting, I trimmed them a little and tinted them.
