When dawn breaks I can find these centipedes everywhere in my yard; of course they also come out at night but not me. These days it has been raining a lot so you can find them of different species and sizes, apparently they are starting to come out of their burrows since they are flooded and go out to look for new shelters; but I think they do not complain since the water also brings out many insects and invertebrates on which they feed.
If we think about it, we can imagine what something smaller than them would feel; well, the truth is that I don't think anyone can imagine it since there is nothing in our life that can be compared to them.
Centipedes have a characteristic very similar to that of a reptile; I say this in terms of their movements only that they have a segmented body or formed by several rings; in which they have a pair of legs and these are mostly exactly the same. A curious thing is that we call them centipedes but in reality they can have from 30 to more than 380 and they also have an odd number of pairs of legs; so none of them have a hundred legs. Hola amigos Steemians…
Cuando amanece puedo encontrar estos ciempiés por todos lados en mi patio; claro que ellos también salen de noche pero yo no. Estos días ha estado lloviendo mucho por lo que se pueden encontrar de distintas especies y tamaños al parecer comienzan a salir de sus madrigueras ya que se les inundan y salen a buscar nuevos refugios; pero creo que no se quejan ya que el agua también saca a muchos insectos e invertebrados de los cuales ellos se alimentan.
Si nos ponemos a pensar cualquier persona se sobresalta al encontrarse con un miriápodo de estos ya podemos imaginarnos lo que sentirá algo que sea más pequeño que ellos; bueno la verdad es que no creo que nadie pueda imaginárselo ya que en nuestra vida no hay nada que se le pueda comparar.
Los ciempiés tienen una característica muy similar a la de un reptil; lo digo en cuanto a sus movimientos solo que estos tienen un cuerpo segmentado o formado por varios anillos; en los cuales poseen un par de patas y estos son en su mayoría exactamente iguales. Una cosa curiosa es que les decimos ciempiés pero en realidad estos puede tener desde 30 hasta más de 380 además poseen un número impar de pares de patas; por lo que ninguno tiene cien patas. Bueno amigos fue un gusto compartir esta imágenes con ustedes espero tengan un día, tarde o noche genial según donde se encuentren.
