Hello everyone. Today we are in a small and charming village called Cantavieja, located in the Teruel region of Aragon. This village is one of the most beautiful in Spain and it has been attracting quite a lot of attention since it earned this title. Cantavieja is situated at an altitude of 1.300 meters above sea level and during our brief walk, we tried to explore the village's beauty.

The village has a population of around 740 people. It's a very peaceful and small settlement. We headed toward the center of the village, where everything needed for daily life is available: local government buildings, shops, cafes and schools. We also passed by a school building dating back to 1928. Then, we continued our walk toward the historic center. All the buildings here are constructed in a similar style and at the same height. Additionally, this area is only open to pedestrian traffic, so walking around is quite enjoyable.

Cantavieja is particularly famous for its delicious hams. Hamon is one of the most well-known and tastiest products from this region. If you ever find yourself here, I highly recommend trying it. The tourist office is also located here, so you can get information about nearby attractions and pick up maps.

The village also hosts many colorful events. Especially during the summer months, various festivals and celebrations take place. Next summer there will be many events in Cantavieja and seeing them could be really fun. Also, the village's history is quite interesting. According to a legend, the founder of the village was the father of the famous Carthaginian general Hannibal.

This village is definitely worth exploring for its peaceful atmosphere, historical texture and natural beauty. This is more of a legend, so it is impossible to confirm its truth or falsehood, but it is certain that people have lived here for a long time. The village has beautiful streets and is full of old buildings, with a very impressive square. Cantavieja is located in the Aragon region, in the Teruel province, about 90 km from the provincial capital. However, access is quite slow, as you need to use roads with low speed limits.

I walked a bit further and reached the castle walls. Cantavieja has participated in many wars and conflicts throughout its long history, so the strong and large walls are very important. Currently, the castle entrance is closed, but it might be open during festivals. The castle carries the traces of past significant events. Then, I approached an old church built in 1411. Of course, it has been restored, but it still preserves its historical texture.

In this high mountainous region of Aragon, there is a very special atmosphere. This spot is great for viewing the surrounding landscape of Cantavieja. I took a little break, drank some water and rested.

At the tourist office, there is a display of the town's model and areas where various events are held. Children also play here and life is very peaceful and traditional. There are schools, playgrounds and sports areas. The village has a rich history and hosts many historical buildings.
