Cur8 Games called Survivor Arena

Just checked out a new game on Cur8 Games called Survivor Arena and wow did it grab me fast. It looks really simple when you first look at it but soon after playing it turns into one of those just one more go games. You're dropped into this lit up arena as this tiny cyber-soldier, enemies are swarming into the screen from all angles constantly and you cannot stop them or the game it is survival or nothing! The best bit is it shoots for you which frees you up from trying to hit where they are and to concentrate on positioning and dodging as much as you can. It really sounds very basic but becomes frantic at a ridiculous rate.

The element of levelling up and getting to choose from upgrades is probably the most fun part for me. With each level achieved you have to select from some power-ups and some new weapons etc that come available. I've had many times where you have to decide to get a new weapon like a boomerang or a rocket launcher or just boost the damage of my pistol. It makes a difference depending on what choices you make in a run and I'm already changing up my character each go. Sometimes I feel really god-like for ages then sometimes..not so much.

The graphics are very clean and colorful, all the effects are bright glowing with nice floating particles and a sort of neon grid in the background, it has quite a nice futuristic style. Even the user interface was clean and easy to understand, it's easy to maneuver your little soldier with a joystick as there is no tricky controls or just imagining what it feels like on a keyboard!

I think what I like most is that there is really quite a good challenge and the longer that you survive for the madder it gets, the enemies are more and more and they start moving around quicker and you have much less space to dodge them.
