Northern lights in March 23

Unexpectedly, a day after the magnetic storm on March 20-21, another one of the same magnitude began. of course, I went to another place, which has also become familiar for photographing such a phenomenon - Kulemesovo Vologda region.

Why is it that when I arrive, the arc first hangs, and then the extravaganza begins?

It's as if the sky is waiting for me, the viewer, to arrive, take up a position, it will prepare a little more there and begin its show.

This time it shone actively, really, as they show in cartoons: the flash ribbons seemed to be fluttering in the wind and flickering.

I took a lot of pictures, but relative to the time spent, it's not enough.

And all because I spent a lot of time just looking at the sky, which I rarely do during the aurora (and in vain).

This time there was less red, more green.

I kept waiting for the curlicues to appear, but I didn't.

With such an active aurora, they could well be - interesting forms of flashes in the form of arcs, swirls, horizontal stripes.

But also this time there were not so many vertical pillars that glow purple and even blue at the top.

They didn't give me the sky all winter and I couldn't take a picture of Aurora, but here in two days such a gift!
