I added a new project to Open for Product: Fundry
I'm excited to share an update about Fundry on Open for Product!
Fundry is a collaborative funding experiment for projects that are still being forged.
The Problem
Early-stage projects need support before they have certainty.
Supporters often want to help, but they hesitate because they do not know whether the project will follow through, whether the money will be used well, or whether the idea will change after they contribute.
At the same time, creators need room to adapt without feeling trapped by a rigid promise they made too early.
The Solution
Fundry gives contributors a simple way to support evolving projects while staying connected to how those projects change.
A contributor can fund a project, milestone, experiment, or need. As the project progresses, they can continue following the work and potentially redirect future support toward the parts that feel most alive.
This turns funding into an ongoing relationship instead of a one-time bet.

The idea is viable. A project called Fundition already explored the concept.
Unfortunately, the project no longer exists. Usage was low even at its peak.
You can check the project, as it may offer insight into its shortcomings.
