Introduction

Good evening, great Steemians, and I hope we are all doing great.
So today I will be participating in a contest, which is My Garden, My Crop.

Am going to be showing us a little portion of my garden and it is a small Tomatoes farm at the back of my house in school.
First of all, my intention was to plant in large quantities to supply the market, but due to limited resources, I had no choice but to just plant a little for my consumption.

First of all, I started by booking for the already nursed seedlings, as I had limited resources to purchase for myself, and I booked for 40 seedlings.

After booking for the seedlings, I went ahead to pay someone to fill fertile sand inside bags because that is where I intended to plant the seedlings.
After filling the bag with sand, I went ahead to collect my already nursed seedlings and transplanted them and began watering.

My experience and encounter.

But something unexpected happened to me. The seedlings I purchased are the species meant to be planted in a greenhouse, and since it's not in a greenhouse, it needs a lot of attention in the sense that I had to spray it frequently with insecticide, but I didn't.

I then noticed that my tomatoes started getting dried up from below, climbing to the leaves. I had to return to where I purchased it, and the seller told me the chemicals and insecticide to use on them, which I purchased.
I was asked to then spray it twice every month; as soon as I started doing that, my tomatoes became fresh again.

It took me a whole lot of patience to see my tomato grow. Trying this on my own is actually the first time but not the first time as a farmer. Back in my family hose, my dad will be the one to nurse the seedlings, and our work is to create the ridges and plant and weed where necessary. But since I was away from home, I had to do it all by myself, and I did it well.

I desperately couldn't wait for it to yield fruits. As time went on, I had to buy ropes so I could stack them and allow it to climb, and today my tomatoes in my little garden are doing exceptionally well. The joy of making a pot of stew from my farm is nothing but exciting.
