Hello steemians, am so happy to be here again. Today, am going to participate in this amazing drawing contest.

We will want you to draw a hedge shear

Hedge shear is just like a giant scissors with long straight blades used by gardeners to trim bushes or flowers.

How I draw the hedge shear

Drawing tools

• white paper
• Pencil with eraser
• Red pen

Step by step procedures

🔥Step 1.
I started with the left blade of the hedge shear. I drew the left blade.

🔥Step 2.
Here, I drew the right part of the blade, completing the full blades and I shaded it with my pencil.

🔥Step 3.
I drew the handle together with the blade.

🔥Step 4.
After the drawing, I have to shade the handles too. I shaded the part of the handle that joined with the blade with my red pen and the other part of the handle with my pencil. This is the outcome of my drawing.

Explain the uses/importance of hedge shear

Hedge shears are a very important tool, especially for gardeners. It is very useful in the following ways:

• Hedge shears are very important to gardeners in maintaining straight-edged hedges when trimming flowers. Their design lends itself to cutting as much plant as possible in one single sweep.

• Hedge shears can also be used to cut back perennials. Overgrown perennial plants can look bushy and cover other slow-growing plants around them, thereby blocking their sunlight. Hedge shears are used to manage their growth by trimming them regularly and ensuring that they look tidy so as to allow delicate plants around them to compete for sunlight.
