Yes, the creative process is very unpredictable. It used to happen to me when I was carving from wood. Often I just took a log, marked out the proportions of the human figure on it and started producing shavings or sawdust. What was left as a result was sometimes very different from what I had planned when I started working. Facial expressions were usually definitely different))
But it has its own charm)
