RE: Portrait - Black & White

That depends on how high the ladder is... I can climb an average ladder in one go. Is that a Cuban saying, the one about the ladder?
Those steps carved into the rocks are a different story, but they often have more than 500 steps. Did I ever tell you that I once fell down them on my way down (not up)?
I'm not always dissatisfied, even when it's nothing like what I had in mind. I suspect that my subconscious is at work, compensating for my lack of possibilities and skills.

Interesting that you mention The Scream. LOL
I don't believe I have thoughts that reflect my art. I often think: is there a hair there? If the brush falls out, is it from the cat or my head? How do I get that mess off? I often laugh about this with my youngest, who says: a critic definitely says this or that. Then I say to her: then you say that's not true and your mother is just a lazy artist who didn't feel like finishing it. Which, incidentally, is often true. I think it's enough halfway through or even at the beginning. Then I think: I know how this is made, on to the next project (I think the Mona Lisa was made in the same way, there was no end to it and it kept getting carried away LOL).

Thank you for your response and your words.
