How do you glance at the word situationship? Your viewpoint!.

Situationship can be defined as a romantic relationship which is not defined or exclusive in terms of commitment. To me, it represents a modern and evolving form of relationships particularly for young people. It can also be understood as not explicitly calling what you are doing a friendship or a real relationship. A situationship is like a connection "in-between". Many people regard this concept as liberation-without the obligations and strict commitments, while some define it as confusion or one person being confused about their role and standing.

As far as I am concerned, a situationship may be acceptable on short terms but it gets emotionally complex if they don't communicate on their expectations with the other person. Observing relationships nowadays it seems that a lot has changed from the past, communications are now quicker than before with the use of social media but emotions may have a weak clarification.

The main changes now that we glance at any relationships! The pros and cons of this situationship!.

Relationships can be more exploring but at the same time one can be much cautious on getting committed. The pro side of the situationship is the flexibility and how it gives you the space to connect with someone without hurrying it to a committed relationship, but it helps you to be aware on the kind of relationship and person you want to pursue. On the other hand the con side can be seen as confusing, imbalance in terms of commitment, heartbreaks when someone has put more effort, and maybe preventing deep relationships because they're afraid of getting too involved in something more serious.

As regard to children, healthy relationships such as those between caregivers or parents is a central element in children's development and well-being as the presence of a secure and stable relationship forms a foundation of safety and well-being in a child's life. Observing parents/caregivers' relationship can also make children acquire the necessary skills and behaviors as for example communication, trust and respect. Negative impacts that unstable and unpromising relationships may have on a child are anxiety, distress and inability to make healthy relationships in the future.
