The story revolves around a social media influencer, portrayed by Ayushman Khurana, who assumes the character of Aloke. This influencer creates reels focused on ghostly themes, often compensating individuals to portray apparitions.
However, he struggles to develop a compelling storyline, leading to ridicule from his peers. In response to this adversity, he resolves to journey into the jungle to craft a captivating narrative.
Upon entering the jungle, his friends abandon him, leaving him to fend for himself. After losing consciousness, he awakens within a damaged aeroplane, where he encounters the female lead, Rashmika Mandanna, who plays the character Tarka—a being that is not human but rather a betal or vampire.
The narrative then transitions into a romantic storyline, augmented by historical references to Ashura Raktabij and the creation of betals by Lord Kali. Although these beings were created to safeguard humanity

My motivation for viewing this film is deeply personal;
It was the last cinematic experience I shared with my niece before her passing. Consequently, my focus is more on reflecting upon her than on fully appreciating the film itself.
In recent times, I have noted that films directed by Amar Kaushik, such as "Stree" Parts 1 and 2 and "Bhediya," have achieved commercial success. Aditya Sarpotdar
also attempts to delve into the supernatural genre with "Thamma."
While I must express my honest opinion that the film did not resonate with my personal tastes,
I acknowledge the unique motivation behind my viewing experience. This observation does not imply a dilack of interest in fantasy films.
I have engaged with numerous Hindi and English films
characterised by innovative narratives.
Ultimately, "Thamma" serves as an entertaining diversion for viewers seeking light-hearted entertainment. It may be suitable for those looking for an enjoyable experience without deeper thematic demands, particularly during periods of leisure.
In the near future, both directors plan to produce a film centred around the themes of good and evil powers, akin to the Avengers franchise.
