After reading a job advert on a poster, a young boy decided to make a move since he was jobless. He called the number and was directed to the place. On reaching there, he discovered that it didn’t have any job setting but he pressed thinking everything will be well.

Upon waiting for the proposed interviewer, he was drilled by some people who were giving some message about some kind of business opportunity. At last, he paid money for their registration while he realizes later that it’s a scam.

Have you ever heard about Ponzi scheme?

Ponzi scheme is a scheme made by group of persons to scam the population in a guise of a legitimate business. When it comes to Ponzi scheme, I have heard and experienced a lot. The weird fact about ponzi scheme is that it looks genuinely real but if one succumbs to the pressure, then you’ll be scammed.

Have you offered to invest in any of these schemes?

Personally, I have invested in different Ponzi scheme but there is one that has left in scar. The illustration I gave earlier wasn’t a mere story but the story of my life. This Ponzi scheme at that illustration was Neo-life. This Ponzi scheme was introduced to me by my former classmate. He told me things that convinced me.

I join them despite the warning from my neighbors who knew them. I suffered to paid the registration fees. That’s when I saw the other side and I realize that I was scammed after several months of working there. I went there with small money but came back in debts. It’s really heart breaking.

Do you know how to detect Ponzi scheme?

As I said earlier, Ponzi scheme may seem real but there are ways to detect these fraudulent activities.

  • They do brag about big thing when they have nothing
  • Majority of the online platform that has minimum withdrawal limit are Ponzi scheme.
  • They usually ask for registration fees.

Do you think Steemit is a Ponzi scheme?

Steemit is not and can never be termed as Ponzi scheme. First, from the start, Steemit platform didn’t ask me from any registration fees. This is unlikely some platform who will require money for startup but it later turn to be a Ponzi scheme.

Second, it’s the knowledge of the blockchain technology which can’t be dissolved easily. Also, I have gotten much money from steemit than anywhere else. With these points, am certain that Steemit is not a Ponzi scheme
