I want to thank the Steemit team for the opportunity to apply for this season’s challenge pitch, and this season, my pitch is what I titled “EMOTIONS IN INK (A blend of Reality and fiction writing challenge)”.
About me
I joined the platform in 2021 and have served in different capacities in the system and still look forward to serving more and give my best, I am presently a moderator in steem fashion and style community, ladies universe and traveling steem community and also acted as a community curator on different occasions.

Challenge Overview
I have always been fascinated with stories, both real life and fictions. In this challenge I seek to being a blend of these two to create something magical and interesting that everyone would be glad to dive into thereby spearheading engagements for which our community is known for.
EMOTIONS IN INK
One Emotion. One Story. Inspired by Life.
Stories we know are birthed from emotions. There is first a feeling before the words, character and plot.
Emotions in Ink is a 6-week fiction writing challenge that is designed to help steemians transform real-life emotions into original fictional stories.
For Each week, the participants will explore one universal emotion, and write stories that expresses it, resonates with it and inspires along that line.
Objective of this challenge:
This challenge will promote
- Originality and creativity as steemians get to write original fiction stories
- Emotional intelligence as steemians would get to explore human emotions through story telling
- Consistent writing practice and plagiarism reduction as it focuses on personal inspirations.
- Interactions amongst steemians through reading and feedback whilst engaging with one another.
Weekly Themes
🖋️ Week 1: HOPE
In this creative writing the participants will explore a moment when hope appeared or almost disappeared.
🖋️ Week 2: FEAR
A fear that controlled a decision or changed a life.
🖋️ Week 3: REGRET
A choice made too late or too early.
🖋️ Week 4: JOY
Unexpected happiness in an ordinary moment.
🖋️ Week 5: BETRAYAL
Trust broken or wrongly assumed.
🖋️ Week 6: REDEMPTION
A second chance no one expected.
Rules
To take part in this challenge, participants must follow these rules:
- Write one original fictional story per week
- Word count: 500 – 800 words
- Story must be inspired by real life but with a fictional twist
- Must include:
- At least one dialogue
- A 2–3 line note at the end explaining the real-life inspiration behind the story
- Content must be 100% original
