To participate in this contest, the shop I have selected is basically a paan (betel leaf and areca nut) shop. Paan is a very popular food in our country, and it is quite hard to find someone who does not eat it because it is easily available everywhere, so many people enjoy it regularly. It is also considered helpful for digestion, which is why many people like to have paan after meals. The shop I am talking about is located in the old market area of the city, and it stays open from 8 in the morning until 10 at night. You can buy paan and supari here at affordable prices, and the shop offers different types of paan, various sizes of supari, and different varieties as well.

One important thing is that you have to pay in cash because digital banking systems are not available in these small shops, and it is unlikely to be introduced soon due to the small scale of the business. The shop owner is very polite and behaves well with customers, which makes the experience even better. I usually buy my paan and supari from this shop, and whenever we visit the market and feel like having paan, we often get a couple from here because of the good service and reasonable price. Since I know the shop owner, I also bring others here and help them buy paan at a lower cost. Nowadays, the price of supari is quite high because production has decreased, and most of the supari is brought from other districts as it is not widely grown in our area.

The structure of the shop is quite simple and small, built by the Parbatipur municipality, with a tin roof and iron pipe supports. These shops are not very strong or modern because they do not remain open all day, and sales are usually higher in the evening. So this was my discussion about the paan and supari shop, and I hope you were able to learn something from it and get an idea about the types of paan and supari sold there.
