So, we are a few hours away from an important occasion of the best Cricket league in the world, the Indian Premier League. To perfectly build their teams before the 19th edition of the tournament, they now have the chance. The IPL mini auction 2026 will be held on December 16 in Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi. So are you interested in the outcomes?

• Unlike a Mega auction, the core of the teams remains almost the same, and a few slots will be filled. After the releases, retentions, and trades teams have the chance to have their missing pieces.

• So, across the 10 teams, 77 slots are available to be filled, including 31 for overseas players. For that, overall 1355 players were registered, where 359 were shortlisted, including 244 Indians and 115 overseas players.

• As you know, these players are categorized into different sets under batter, allrounder, fast bowler, spinner, wicketkeeper, capped, and uncapped, and as base prizes range from 30 lakhs to 200 lakhs.

• As you know, a team must consist of an 18-25 player squad, with a maximum of eight overseas players. Right now, KKR has the highest number of slots to fill (13), and they also have the biggest purse of INR 64.30 crore. And also, the Mumbai Indians have the lowest purse of INR 2.75 crore.
