Dissertation is one of the heavy burdens that we carry in our uni life. We may not necessarily like the topic that we selected but it is better we entertain ourselves to think that we like it as working on something that we enjoy is less stressful than doing something we find to be unpleasant. I selected one of my favourite novels and its movie adaptations to do a textual analysis on them.

I have this one thing with me, if I am reading something I need to carry it always, because I get sudden inspirations and sudden thoughts from time to time, so I need to check them quickly and note them down. Therefore, I practically carry my primary texts wherever I go. Even though I like this novel, I do not enjoy seeing it all the time and having to analyze it for months. I wanted to do something to make it little bubbly to lift up my mood, and the solution I found is crocheting a little bag for that.

I watched a couple of youtube tutorials and selected a design that I like, as well as easy to crochet. The reason I selected that design is it is very colourful and it will serve me well when I become gloomy with the research. it didn’t take much time for me to crochet it specially because the book is small. I like how it turned out after I finished the project. Feel like it’s gonna be a good companion for my roller coaster journey with my thesis.

This is only one thing that I did to motivate myself to enjoy my thesis. I will share the rest of my steps soon.
