My 24th 💖

It is true that we get old yearly, but I still ger very excited about my b’day. It is a reason for me to enjoy the day to the fullest without thinking of my age cz I’m anywhere I’m mentally stuck somewhere between 20-21st, so I have to keep reminding myself that I am 24 now.

I get excited about my b’day like a month early to the actual date. I had purchased my outfit and planned how to celebrate it. However, some tragedy stuck which made me completely lose my interest in celebrating my b’day. My grandma passed away on the 2nd of January and none of us our family were over the loss that we had to face. My birthday exactly a week after her demise (09th to be specific), so I had other worries in my mind that going ahead with my initial b’day plans. So I didn’t want to wear the new outfit I purchased because it’s very colourful and I used to show my pics to grandma whenever I wore a new dress. So my outfits are usually plain these days either white or black, but to be really honest, I still wanted to look little nice on my b’day, so I selected something that I like.

I didn’t make any plans with anyone, but my sis asked her to meet her after work. She told me that even if we don’t wanna do a “celebration”, we can still the spend the day together. There was no cake-cutting, but we had dinner together and most importantly, I received my gifts. Since it was my day (it is always my day when I was with my sis cz she let me do what I want, but that’s a different story), I could select the menue and decide what we can have for dinner. I just turned the order around. We had dessert before dinner. We went to Yah Empire for ice cream, and I selected the main meals from the food court.

So it still became a special day with food and people I love, even though I could not celebrate it as we usually do. But yet, I’m not mentally prepared to be 24, and thus, I will still be stuck in between 20-21.
