A Movie Review – Damsel

This movie is an American dark fantasy movie which is directed by Juan Carios Fresnadillo. This is written by Dan Mazeau. The main character of this film is Princess Elodie and it plays by the actress Millie Bobby Brown. Nick Robinson act as Prince Henry and Robin Wright act as Queen Isabelle. Apart from these people, Angela Bassett, Milo Twomey, Ray Winstone, Manon Stieglitz plays roles in this movie. The story behind this movie as follows.

The first king of Aurea starts to attack a dragon in his kingdom. During this mission all men are died except the King. After many years the king and the queen wanted to find a bride for his prince. The daughter of Lord Bayford named Elodie receives a proposal from that Queen and the King. Since the Lord Bayford faced lots of problem in his land, he wanted support from another kingdom to help the people.

Therefore, they couldn’t refuse this proposal because they can help their people from the dowery they given. Hence Elodie had to agree to this. Then they went to Aurea. But after having few chatters with Elodie and prince they understood that they have same feelings and idea. Therefore, Elodie happily entered her marriage. The wedding is held according to the tradition of Aurea.

After the wedding Henry carried Elodie to an ancient mountain to do some another traditional thing. During this ceremony their palms are cut and held together. However, after this event Henry had to throw her bride down the chasm. She screams a lot to get help from others. But no one helps her. She saw that lot of Skulls in that place with wedding jewelry. On that point she understood that they scarify her to someone in this crave.

She went here and there to find a path to get out of this cave. During that time, she saw a dragon in this cave and had to face many attacks from the dragon. She was able to find a place where the dragon cannot come inside. In that place she noticed some names were written in walls and also a map to get out from the cave. After many struggles she was able to find a place to get out of this, but the dragon came, and she couldn’t be able to go out.

During that she heard some people screaming in the cave and called to her. She understood that her father had come to rescue her. But unfortunate the dragon kills her father and other people. However, she was able to escape from this cave but suddenly she saw that her sister also carried to this place to sacrifice her too.

Therefore, once again she had to go inside this cave to rescue her sister. She has done many struggles for that. On that time, she realizes that the first king has killed baby dragon on their nest. Finally, she was able to understand the reason for cutting palm of the bride and groom. Because they wanted to pretend that they are scarifying the true blood of the kingdom. She was able to explain this this dragon. She came to the kingdom with the dragon and dragon attack to whole royal family.
