A Long Weekend Adventure 🌊 - A trip to Chilaw

After months of anticipation, Praveen and I finally found the perfect time for a much-needed getaway. As soon as we saw the long weekend on the calendar, we seized the chance to plan a trip. The most challenging part was deciding where to go. With several options on the table, I chose Chilaw. Because I am a sea lover!

Our journey to Chilaw began early in the morning and we were very excited. I must tell you that the trip was extra special because we traveled with my mom and grandma. The plan was to drop off my mom and grandma at our relatives' place. They would stay there until the next evening while my husband and I explored Chilaw on our own.

On the way, we made a stop at the Puttalam Beach Park, where we took a break to stretch our legs.

We booked a stay at Carolina Beach Hotel, situated on Ambakandawila Road in Chilaw. It is a charming hotel with a private beach right across the street and a huge swimming pool. We checked in around 2.30 pm and took a couple of hours to settle in.

By 4.30 in the evening, we were ready to explore the beach. We spent about two hours enjoying the beauty of the beach, taking in the breathtaking views.

Even though the waves were a bit rough than expected, we enjoyed a lot. The time we spent at the beach and pool was incredibly refreshing. Our trip to Chilaw was an unforgettable experience, and we're already looking forward to our next adventure!
