Important Announcement Regarding BD-Charity's New Initiative & Current Coronavirus Situation in Bangladesh

Assalamu Alaikum. We hope everyone is well and sound even in the current Coronavirus epidemic. We are currently going through a difficult time. Coronavirus infection rate in Bangladesh has suddenly increased at a higher rate. The number of victims and the record number of deaths seem to be increasing almost every day. According to official data, a total of 11,324 people were infected with corona and 212 died in the country yesterday._Source

The environment is getting heavier day by day due to the death of people around us. Many people are losing their jobs with their families starving to death. At this juncture in the country, we are not able to work for the people even if we want to for a severe lockdown. Outside the house, due to the strict surveillance of the law enforcement agencies, no one can leave the house unless necessary. Due to this, we have to temporarily stop the distribution of weekly food.

We have plans to resume work after this hard lockdown break. However, due to lack of sufficient funds in our fund, we are not able to take the initiative to work on a large scale. For this reason, we have taken some far-reaching plans to increase the amount of money in the fund. We request all members of the Steem Bangladesh community and everyone else to set 50% beneficiary to our charity account @bd-charity at the time of posting. In this case everyone can use the tag # bd-charity50pc when posting with 50% beneficiary. We are hoping that the initiative will help moving our activities forward in the future.

আসসালামু আলাইকুম। আশা করি বর্তমানের এই করোনা মহামারির মধ্যে দিয়েও সবাই ভালো আছেন, সুস্থ আছেন। বর্তমানে আমরা একটি কঠিন সময় পার করছি। বাংলাদেশে করোনাভাইরাসে আক্রান্তের হার হঠাৎ করেই অধিক হারে বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। প্রায় প্রতিদিনই যেন আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা ও মৃত্যুর রেকর্ড পাল্লা দিয়ে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। সরকারি তথ্যমতে গতকাল দেশে মোট ১১৩২৪ জন করোনায় আক্রান্ত ও ২১২ জন মারা গিয়েছে।_উৎস

আশেপাশের মানুষের মৃত্যুর আহাজারিতে পরিবেশ ভারী হয়ে উঠছে দিন দিন। অনেকের চাকরি চলে যাওয়াতে পরিবারসহ অনাহারে, অর্ধাহারে দিন পার করছে। দেশের এ ক্রান্তিলগ্নে আমরা চাইলেও মানুষের জন্য কাজ করে যেতে পারছি না কঠোর লকডাউনের জন্য। ঘরের বাইরে আইন প্রশাসন সংস্থার কঠোর নজরদারির কারণে প্রয়োজন ব্যাতীত কেউই ঘর থেকে বের হতে পারছে না। এ কারনে আমাদের সাপ্তাহিক খাদ্য বিতরণের কার্যক্রম সাময়িকভাবে বন্ধ রাখতে হয়েছে।

কঠোর লকডাউনের বিরতি শেষে আমাদের আবার কাজ শুরু করার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে। তবে আমাদের তহবিলে পর্যাপ্ত অর্থের অভাবে চাইলেও বড় পরিসরে কাজ করার উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করতে পারছি না। এ কারনে তহবিলে অর্থের পরিমাণ বৃদ্ধি করার জন্য আমরা সুদুরপ্রসারি কিছু পরিকল্পনা হাতে নিয়েছি। এজন্য পোস্ট করার সময় আমাদের চ্যারিটি একাউন্ট @bd-charity কে ৫০% বেনিফিশিয়ারি দেয়ার জন্য Steem Bangladesh কমিউনিটির সকল সদস্য এবং অন্যান্য সবাইকেই অনুরোধ জানাচ্ছি। এক্ষেত্রে ৫০% বেনিফিশিয়ারি দিয়ে পোস্ট করার সময় সবাই #bd-charity50pc ট্যাগটি ব্যাবহার করতে পারেন। আমরা আশা করছি এই উদ্যোগ গ্রহণের মাধ্যমে ভবিষ্যতে আরো ভালোভাবে এগিয়ে যেতে পারবো।
