hello friends #SteemingCommunity, meet again with me @quin-art, allow me today to share my post, where I raised the theme on this occasion "Good and Right Tips for Caring for the Health of 0-6 Months Old Babies". The reason I made this post is because I am also a mother who just got it, and I also want to share a few things for sharing and also information for friends who are also out there.
Caring for a newborn is certainly not an easy thing, where we really and also have to work extra hard to keep her from crying and asking for milk until we have to take care of ourselves during this painful pause.
During the first 3 months of baby's age, there will be great development in exploring the basic senses and learning a lot about the body and the environment.
While moving the age of 3-6 months, babies begin to develop a stronger sense of perception.
1). Feeding baby
Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended by Health, especially in the first 6 months of a child's age.
Breastfeeding the baby directly provides many benefits.
Feed babies when they are hungry, not on a schedule or every time the baby cries. However, the diet can vary greatly in each baby.
2). Provide early immunization
In infants less than 24 hours old. The administration of 3 doses, the first 0-7 days of age, the next dose at a minimum interval of 4 weeks (1 month), then between the ages of 3 to 6 months.
(Bacillus Calmette Guerin) for infants aged 1 month with a dose of 1 time.
Polio is given while the baby is still in the hospital after giving birth. Polio immunization is given gradually after polio 1, there will be 2, 3, 4 with an interval of 4 weeks.
DPT or Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus are 3 different diseases but have a risk of death. DPT immunization itself is generally given 5 times, namely to children aged 2, 4, and 6 months. Furthermore, at the age of 18-24 months and the age of 5 years.
3). comfortable environment for sleeping
Proper positioning while sleeping can reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, babies aged less than 6 months are not expected to sleep through the night. put baby to sleep on a firm mattress with a non-breakable sheet and no pillows, thick blankets or toys around.
4). Bathing baby
For newborns, you can bathe them using a sponge in the first weeks of their life. Especially before the umbilical cord falls off.
Keep in mind not to bathe the baby too often at this age, Mom. For the first few weeks, 1-2 times is enough, unless the baby uses diapers or wets a lot.
If you want to use soap for bathing, choose a soap that is sensitive and mild for baby's skin.
It is important to wash the baby's diaper area, between the fingers and toes, the neck, arms, skin folds, and behind the ears. Baby hair does not need to be washed often, just wash it once a week.
5. Holding a baby
For new mothers, holding a baby aged 0-6 months may be a challenge. A mother also needs basic knowledge that can be learned gradually. First, make sure our hands are clean because the baby's immune system is still vulnerable to germs.
Then, most babies often spit up. Therefore, you can use a small towel and place it on your arm or shoulder in case you clean your baby's mouth if he spits up.
