SEC17 WK:#3: large and small families, likes and dislikes
Greetings and welcome.
Families are a beautiful part of our existence and everyone comes from a family cos no body is a terminator. A family is a group of people consisting of father and mother and the children living together as a unit.
There are two types of families mainly the nuclear family and the extended family. The nuclear family consists of members of the immediate family which is just the father and mother and their children.
The extended family is the family that goes beyond the nuclear family to include other relatives such as uncles, aunts, nieces, cousins, grand fathers and grand mothers and other relatives.
A lot of people have their likes and dislikes about big families or small families. Am not a fan of big families. I like to have our relatives all come around during the festive seasons and have that great together time. As beautiful as that seem and I get to enjoy it when it happens, am still a fan of small families.
I like it succinct and not crowded. I come from a family of eight including mum and dad and that’s quite a lot to handle. Eight is a crowd. Am glad that we were comfortable and didn’t have to go living outside home just to make ends meet.
Both extended families and nuclear families have their advantages and disadvantages. For someone that loves a small family, I’d love to X-ray some advantages of the small family or I’d say some things I love about the small family.
Small families aids for easy bonding amongst family members. It’s easier to connect to one another and bond effectively when we are not much.
Small families are able to look out for one another and provide emotional care and support for the members.
Small families are less financially burdensome than large families. A lot of money is required to raise children adequately. The smaller the easier to carry the financial burdens of the family members.
Peace and conflict resolution is easier to achieve with a small family.

Some of these advantages obtainable in the small families are lacking in large families due to the number of people who are in the family.
I know a lot of families whom the children had to leave home to live with strangers because their parents are not able to take care of the children financially. And that’s one of the disadvantages of large families.
It’s advisable for parents to be able to give birth to the number of children they can comfortably train without being a burden to others or the society.
I’m conclusion, I like small families and when am set to start mine, I’d go for a small family so that I and my husband can give every member of the family the adequate care they need.

You like small families. But still you feel good in a big family, when there is a function and everyone gets together and enjoys that function. I absolutely agree with you that when there are large families and there are only one or two earning people, then they have to face a lot of problems to support them. Due to which their children have to stay away from them. That is why nowadays people prefer small families. So that he can fulfill the wishes of his children according to his income. be happiness.
You write so well and also making use of your family as an example, that even if as you like your relatives coming around during festivals celebration, at the end you still want to have a small family.

Hello, as time goes by, depending on the social and educational level of the people, small families become the best option. Some time ago I saw a publication about a millionaire who wanted to have a large family, of course he can support it financially, but will he be able to give it the attention and affection it requires in the midst of his many occupations? it should be seen, children should not come into the world to satisfy people's desires for company, they should come to receive love and affection.
