My Weekly Food Highlight, Take a look💥

Warm greetings to all my lovely Steemit friends and the respected members of the Steem Kids & Parents community! This beautiful contest organized by @ngoenyi ma’am gave me a chance to share my passion for food and creativity in a joyful way. I really enjoyed writing about my weekly food experiences, and it filled my heart with happiness. Being part of such a caring, encouraging, and positive community truly feels special. I am grateful for this platform where we can connect, support each other, and share our small but meaningful joys together.

As Ramadan was coming to an end, I decided in the last ten days to prepare something daily and share it with others, knowing how hard people work for their families.I made labe shireen and cream fruit chaat, packed them into disposable containers, and distributed them at Iftar. It was my first time making labe shireen this Ramadan, even though I had seen it before.Trying new things at home and sharing them with others made me truly happy. It brought me a deep sense of peace.

The next day, I had to prepare something a bit more traditional, since during Ramadan fried items like samosas, pakoras, and potato tikkis are commonly enjoyed.I had already prepared the samosa filling the day before. After Sehri, I shaped the samosas and kept them covered. When it was time for Iftar, I fried them while getting everything else ready.

As they were freshly fried, I packed them into small packets and sent them out for distribution. This time, I shared them in a different area of the market. Some were potato samosas and some were chicken, making a simple yet delicious mix.I prepared the filling myself, while the dough was made by my mother, who often makes samosas for us at home.

The next day, I went out for Iftar, and the menu there was amazing. I first had rice with chicken roast—it was so delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.I also had raita, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I truly loved the experience because moments like these are special when everyone sits together.During Ramadan, people are usually busy at home, so it’s these Iftar or Sehri invitations that bring everyone together and give a chance to meet and connect.

And then the next day, after Iftar at night, we went to Imtiaz Mall. We had to do some grocery shopping and some Eid shopping. When we finished there, we went out because we hadn't eaten anything after Iftar and we didn't feel like it. When we finished eating there, there was a small stall outside. It's Corns.

They also have ice cream. I like the cones here the most. They are light and reasonable.So we all bought corns from here in different flavors. I bought my favorite, I always get this. I bought spicy corns and it is very spicy and delicious. I like the aroma inside it the most.

My food choices came from a mix of simple reasons. Culture played a big role, as foods like samosas and fruit chaat are a big part of Ramadan. Family also mattered, because we usually cook what everyone likes and enjoy making it together.

I also chose foods that were easy to make and easy to share. Sometimes, it was just about cravings, like when I had spicy corn. But the most important reason was the happiness of sharing food with others.
