This Treasure has been hidden in Nigeria, flowing freely for centuries. In one of our current affairs quest, who discovered "The Niger River", was one of the most easiest questions we had an answer for which was Mungo park. The were inhabitants in the region that made use of the river and probably took mungo park to the river, but how then were we told that he Discovered our Niger River?. The discovery was later explained and it made more sense from what we were told.

Rivers, ponds, lakes and all water bodies have been of great benefit to the people right from time. And to the people of this community it has served them in all ways.

  • My Remake Location

Nigeria Is a blessed nation with enough Natural Resources, no matter how things have turned out to be, a lot of people make a living from these Natural Resources. This takes me to a community in my country known for vast water bodies. I paid a visit to Uruan local Government which is not far from my the capital city.

This is a creek/River, if you can see from the video I added, the fishermen moved in their locally made Boat from the river area to these creeks. This water body might look so small, and it will be shocking to know it flows from the Atlantic Ocean in, then becomes small till it empties as creeks.

I have been trying to make an entry since from week one, and unluckily for me it was a very tough examination period. Though on one of the week, I prepared my entry then asked the organizer for some clarification which an answer wasn't given to me. I had dump my entry. I was so interested in the challenge since I am into Videography now, I followed this publication from week one and this is the final week.

This brings me to Why does this place fit my remake Idea?
The inspiration I got from the video which was a movement scene was just vast. In his video I saw a lot of movement, the wind, the river, the people and so on. My own video serves that too so this place was a big fit.

I was inspired by @max-pro from his movement scene post, and here is the Post link . He made a movement scene more cinematic by showing the River, the cloud and also the movement of people. This was a very natural feel which was windy, I decided to remake this by doing it my way.

I visited this special River which flows from the Atlantic Ocean, from the Google maps link I dropped which if you can trace from the river it will take you down to the ocean. I was really determined to recreate his movement post due to how natural it was, so the only River I was able to visit was this one. I saw canoes/boats which was also stated in the movement post and there's also a difference in the type of boat. The cloud and the river really made his post outstanding, so I was able to achieve this in mine too.

I was able to recreate;

  • Boat
  • cloud/sky
  • River
  • And movement scene.

From my photos and videos I was able to recreate the cloud which was very natural and gave my photos a very cinematic feel, a canoe was also in frame and it was all movements. The locally made canoe, the fishermen, the water and Also the wind, everything showed Movement.

This location is very special to the locals because it connects two communities, there's a bridge which you can see from the Google maps link I shared, and you can also see another bridge stones that were made but not laid and that is where the video was taken down to the creek.

I saw locals also taking sand for building purposes from this river body.
