I really liked your approach, you really answered the questions in a very objective way, and you dealt with the issue like a manager.
Setting goals and objectives and evaluating progress is necessary to be able to measure if the implemented strategies have been really good.
Establishing clear communication channels is also very important to establish feedback and build trust.
