Darter Dragonfly (Sympetrum pedemontanum)
I found this species of dragonfly in the grassland. A well-known dragonfly that is frequently seen flying low and high in grassland. So, when I saw it perched on the wild grass, I tried to take its photo from a distance, and I had to crouch from this range if I wanted to get the picture. During the noon, this typical dragonfly was active, swinging over one grass and then another. Another interesting dragonfly that I found in the woods is a banded darter dragonfly (Sympetrum pedemontanum) that belongs to the family Libellulidae. This dragonfly was a bit quiet hanging in the twig, which allowed me to have some distance shots. Like most members of the genus, this dragonfly has a red abdomen that is similar in size to the black Sympetrum danae. The most interesting part of this dragonfly is the colors on the hind and front wings.
